I reached out in a somewhat unorthodox way, and my friend is okay. Life is crazy, but they are okay, and my care isn’t going into the void.

When in doubt, pulling myself up by my toenails and choosing to do the courageous thing has paid off very well for me. Often it just takes 20 seconds to reach out, and then the thing is started, and I can work on just doing it instead of fretting about it.

My mother says “If you have to swallow a frog, don’t look at it too long”. And as usual, she is right.
